Motion Recruitment is hiring: Product Designer in Washington

Our Client, multinational mass media and entertainment company, is looking for someone to join their team as a Staff Product Designer!

**This is a remote 2-month contract with a possible extension in Washington, D.C.**

Required Skills &Experience

• Must have a design portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design solutions, with an emphasis on identifying and meaningfully solving true user problems.
• Must have 6+ years of professional experience, specifically as a Product Designer of direct-to-consumer applications.
• Must have extensive experience in responsive web-based design and delivery (video/audio or streaming background preferred but not essential).
• Must have masterful Figma skills including a solid understanding of Design Systems/Design Kits and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Leads & executes across all phases of the design process from conception to implementation, including wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
• Plans & executes user research and gathers qualitative data to help build hypothesis & design recommendations.
• Frequently partners and collaborates with internal stakeholder leads (Product Management, Engineering etc.) to ensure consistency with broader product and company goals.
• Strong and demonstrated understanding of design processes and best practices.
• Proactively identifies and provides thoughtful solutions to complex design problems.
• May review work and provide direction to more junior level staff.
