divh2Launch Subject Matter Expert/h2pModern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Launch Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Cape Canaveral, Florida. As a Launch Subject Matter Expert (LSME) at MTSI, you will provide specialized technical support to assigned programs and projects in compliance with NRO Corporate Policies. LSME contractors are expected to possess General Level IV (G4) qualifications in addition to various types of expected specific expertise as described below./ppLSMEs will have professional experience planning, conducting, technical advisement and participating in short-term studies, design review and requirements management./ppLSMEs are also able to understand, synthesize, assess and derive requirements for launch systems and services requiring advanced knowledge and ability to originate and apply new/unique methods and procedures./ppLSMEs have the ability to perform technical assessments and evaluation based on engineering analysis and review of system and services such as: identify technology issues, identify desired enhancements, define mission assurance requirements, perform data management, process re-engineering, technical or programmatic analysis./ppLSMEs perform as recognized experts in specifications and/or utilization in the launch domain, and usually possess an advanced degree in the associated technical discipline as well as uniquely applicable experience or highly specialized knowledge./ppLSMEs support the development of required documentation to enable program/project planning, milestone preparation, requirements, deliverables and specifications development, execution, performance monitoring, and close out, and in the development of program/project briefs, and associated meeting preparation./ppLaunch SME tasks include:/pulliSupport LY SY contractor reviews to assess progress, issues, and meeting mission requirements traceability./liliProvide insights on LY issues that may affect the LY /SY interface, SY hardware or launch infrastructure./liliFacilitates launch collaboration activities between NASA, USSF, NRO/IC and OSL organizations./liliDevelop and coordinate for approval thru corporate business process new entrant nonrecurring certification guides, policies and instructions./liliGenerate lessons learned that can be shared across mission teams./liliAssess strategic impacts of proposed launch vehicle fleet changes./liliSupport New Entrant and other OSL program initiatives./liliSupport evaluating, certifying, and fostering relationships with emerging launch vehicle companies./liliNew Entrants assessment support OSL non-recurring certification and framework of tasks needed for recurring mission certification./liliAssess new entrants capabilities and processes./liliAct as OSL Directors reach back capability to aid his decision making process./liliMonitor and support resolving fleet issues./liliReconciles launch service requirements against mission execution plans./liliStandardizes launch vehicle readiness activities where possible./liliMonitor hardware issues and provides assessments./liliMonitor and assess fleet wide issues affecting mission assurance./liliAssists in the development of consistent mission certification requirement process./liliProvides support to mission managers for launch certification activities./liliDevelops mission assurance requirements, specifications, data products and deliverables./liliProvide assessments of launch service alternatives, framing courses of actions./li/ulpRequired:/pulliMin of 10 years relevant professional experience./li/ulpDesired:/pulliRelevant STEM degree from an accredited university./li/ulpSecurity Clearance:/pulliActive TS/SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph./li/ul/div
