About the Opportunity This is an opportunity for amotivated and dynamic Leasing Agent to join our client's team and play a crucial role in their affordable housing portfolio. As a Leasing Agent for their affordable housing units within their luxury developments, you will be responsible for attracting and retaining residents, ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Your primary goal will be to maintain high occupancy rates while upholding their commitment to delivering a luxury living experience to all residents. Thisrolerequires the agent to prepare lease packages, track inventory, follow-up and communicate diligently with the Compliance Manager.

Role & Responsibilities

Provide applicants and residents with exceptional customer service and foster good relations

Promote and market affordable housing units within their luxury developments to potential residents while conducting property tours and showcasing their unique features and amenities of the community

Conduct open houses

Respond to both resident and applicant inquiries promptly and professionally via phone, email, or in person to foster positive relationships between landlord and resident

Prepare new leases, subsidy landlord packages, and lease agreements for approved applicants

Facilitate lease signing, ensure accuracy of all lease documents, and ensure proper funds are collected

Assist applicants and residents with inquiries regarding HPD Affordable Housing Program, compliance, and availability

Communicate with residents regarding upcoming annual recertifications and inspections

Assist compliance team with lease renewal, annual recertifications, and inspections

Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy

Assist Compliance Manager with monthly and annual reporting

Communicate and process transfer requests and reasonable accommodation requests and report complaints to the Compliance Manager

Assist market rate leasing team as needed

Education and Qualifications

4-year college degree preferred

NYS Salespersons License or ability to obtain with 120 days of employment

Onsite leasing/sales experience

Knowledge of Fair Housing practices LIHTC, Rent Stabilization, Section 8, and NYC rent stabilization

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

On-Site, Yardi, Building Link knowledge preferred

Detail-oriented and organized

Must be flexible and available to work on Saturdays and some evenings as part of a full-time schedule

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Certified tax credit professional preferred
