Sales Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Sales Engineer to manage and expand relationships with new and existing customers in the manufacturing, machining, and automation sectors. You will be the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and product questions, leveraging your engineering expertise to provide solutions that meet customer needs. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, product questions, and solution discussions. Leverage technical and engineering knowledge to understand customer processes, challenges, and equipment needs. Identify new business opportunities through customer visits, territory development, and industry engagement. Deliver proposals, quotes, and pricing options that reflect customer requirements and business objectives. Support customer meetings, site visits, and product discussions by explaining technical benefits in an accessible manner. Negotiate terms, pricing, and scope while maintaining a professional and customer-centric approach. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate timelines and deliverables. Track pipeline activity and report on sales progress and territory performance. Monitor customer satisfaction, address issues promptly, and ensure long-term partnership success. Identify value-added opportunities, cost savings recommendations, or process improvements for customers. Represent the organization at customer facilities, industry events, and trade functions as needed. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/automation environment. 5+ years of project management/sales experience. Strong customer communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in quoting and sales proposals. Experience in sales engineering, equipment sales, and product engineering. Ability to provide technical support and perform financial analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in project and sales management. Ability to perform administrative support, prospecting, reporting, and data analysis. Work Environment Work in a newly built, state-of-the-art facility with a machine shop and office environment. The facility is well-lit, clean, and climate-controlled in most areas. Operate in a rapidly growing company with a diverse client portfolio, primarily supporting Toyota North America. Work hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
