Dedicated to highest precision motion control, SmarAct develops piezo-based high performance micro- and nanopositioners, advanced control systems, laser interferometers and microtools for cutting-edge research and high-tech industries.
To cope with the increasing demand in the US market, SmarAct Inc. is in need of a tech savvy Sales Engineer to work closely together with our team in Berkeley, CA.
Responsibilities
- Grow SmarAct Inc.'s business in North America through acquiring new customers and intensifying business relations with existing customers and with existing and new products
- Selling our high-tech products to our customers in various industries (semiconductors, photonics, solid-state technology, metrology, basic research, etc.)
- Providing professional technical advice to our customers and proposing solutions to their challenges
- Communication and coordination of customer requirements to the production site in Germany and monitoring of the production status
- Supporting customers in the implementation of the products
- Demonstrating our products during customer visits and at trade shows, conferences and other events
- Enhance our products and business by contributing own product improvement suggestions
- Providing administrative support as needed (updating customer/supplier list, reporting, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD in physics, engineering science and ideally several years of relevant experience in industry
- Experience with scientific instrumentation and/or high-tech products
- Ability to quickly establish relationships with potential customers
- Strong solution selling skills
- Keen perception, team player and willingness to work in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
