As the VP of Sales, you’ll be the driving force behind Nexus’s growth in the US. You’ll identify, develop, and close opportunities with enterprise clients—particularly in the banking and financial services domain—who are seeking to adopt AI-driven solutions.
This is a strategic sales and consulting role — ideal for a senior professional with strong C-level relationships and a solid understanding of how AI technologies (LLMs, data automation, NLP, etc.) create business impact.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, bridging the gap between business needs and AI capabilities, and work closely with global technical teams to shape and deliver transformative solutions.
What you'll be doing Enterprise Sales & Market Expansion
Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with company growth goals. Identify and engage Stakeholders (C-level Executives, Heads of Innovation, Data, or Risk) across the US banking and financial services landscape.
Drive the full sales cycle — from prospecting and consultation to negotiation and closure — focusing on AI-driven transformation projects.
Build and execute account strategies to penetrate target enterprises and expand relationships within existing accounts.
AI Solution Consulting
Serve as a trusted advisor to Stakeholders, innovation leads, and data/IT executives.
Understand client strategic and tactical needs as well as align Nexus’s AI capabilities into compelling business use cases (e.g., intelligent document processing, credit risk automation, KYC operations).
Collaborate with the internal Nexus team to design tailored proposals and proof-of-concepts.
AI & Industry Expertise
Maintain working knowledge of AI/ML applications in banking (e.g., NLP, document intelligence) to credibly engage tech stakeholders.
Stay ahead of banking tech trends (e.g., open banking, regulatory tech) as a strategic partner.
Represent Nexus at industry events, AI forums, and executive-level discussions to strengthen brand awareness and thought leadership.
Global Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Nexus’s global teams (in the UK, Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore) to align client delivery, timelines, and strategy.
Operate independently while ensuring seamless communication across time zones and cultural contexts.
What you'll need
Experience:
10+ years in enterprise B2B sales, consulting, or business development within banking, fintech, or enterprise AI/data solutions.
Network:
Established relationships with senior decision-makers in large US banks or financial institutions.
AI & Tech Acumen:
Ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear business value (experience selling AI, SaaS, or data platforms preferred).
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills; able to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Mindset:
Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in a startup environment.
Collaboration:
Proven ability to work effectively with remote, multicultural teams across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building or leading regional sales teams or partnerships.
Background in management consulting or technology advisory.
Exposure to global markets and cross-border collaboration.
Passion for AI, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
