RemX is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive new business and grow key accounts for a well-established manufacturer. This role will focus on expanding sales of custom fabricated metal components and assemblies into non-material handling industries. The ideal candidate has outside sales experience in fabrication services/contract manufacturing and can speak to prints, tolerances, quoting, and production capabilities in a consultative sales cycle.
Note: This position requires 30–50% travel

3–7 years of outside/territory sales experience selling fabrication services, contract manufacturing, or fabricated metal components; strong ability to quote from prints and speak to tolerances/process capability
Hunter-focused role (75% new business / 25% account growth) driving expansion into non-material handling industries across OEM and industrial customers
Strong background in metal fabrication processes (welding, laser cutting, bending, machining, finishing) and consultative selling to engineers, buyers, and operations leaders

The Position:
Drive growth across non-material handling industries by selling custom fabricated metal components and assemblies to OEM and industrial customers
Hunter-focused role (75% new business / 25% account growth): prospect, open doors, build pipeline, and expand key accounts through additional part numbers and repeat production work
Run the full sales cycle—target accounts, qualify requirements, coordinate internal quoting, present proposals, negotiate pricing/terms, and close awards that convert into long-term production programs
Work closely with engineering and production on manufacturability discussions (prints, tolerances, materials, process capability) and ensure quotes align with material cost, labor content, and market expectations
Maintain accurate opportunity tracking in CRM (stages, next steps, expected revenue) and stay in front of customers through visits, plant tours, and trade events (30–50% travel)
The Details:
3–7 years of industrial/outside sales experience (contract manufacturing or fabrication services strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding, laser cutting, bending, machining, finishing)
Ability to interpret prints/technical specs and sell consultatively to engineers, buyers, and operations leaders
