The Services Social Marketing team is looking for an Owned Social Strategist to bring to life the organic social marketing strategy and program across multiple Services, covering owned and operated channels as well as collaborating with partner channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media and culture, has experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives, and knows how to effectively leverage social to tell impactful stories and cultivate an engaged audience.

Description The Owned Social Strategist will be responsible for shaping the overall social content and programming strategy for multiple lines of business within Apple Services. They will curate a unique point of view and tone of voice for each, and share content that fuels conversation and culture through a strategic, moments-based approach.

Responsibilities

Develop social-first concepts, campaigns, and programs that feed into Apple Services’s owned social channels

Lead social briefings for campaigns, formats, and initiatives

Work with multiple cross-functional teams on planning and executing integrated campaigns and projects on social

Evangelize social best practices to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, internally and externally

Demonstrate thought leadership and perspective around best in class social trends, ideas, and strategy for key marketing moments

Hands‑on support for programming and publishing, as needed, across owned social channels

On‑call nights and weekends as needed

Manage agency relationships

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience in digital/social marketing in the social media space

3+ years managing agencies and vendors

Experience working directly with creators, artists, and other external partners to collaborate on social marketing efforts

Ability to understand and use data to inform strategic decisions, including audience insights, platform trends, content performance benchmarks, social listening, etc.

Experience working in a multifaceted environment

Excellent storytelling and presentation skills

Ability to work nimbly and navigate ambiguity with confidence

Strong leadership and negotiation skills

Ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously

Experience working with high‑profile talent on high‑stakes projects

Tuned in to cultural trends and conversations in books, podcasts, music, fashion, sports, tech, and entertainment

Understanding of media, technology, and the ever‑changing landscape of social platforms, audiences, and behaviors

Collaborative and team‑oriented approach resulting in shared success

Demonstrates professionalism and work ethic with the ability to set boundaries

Excellent communicator and collaborator, pitching new ideas and gaining buy‑in across multiple teams and leadership

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,400 and $168,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
