The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) is seeking a visionary
Chief Communication Officer
to lead strategic communications and public affairs for one of Ohio’s most influential public institutions.
Serving more than
500,000 educators and retirees , STRS Ohio is a mission-driven organization committed to transparency, trust, and stakeholder engagement. The CCO will shape and execute a comprehensive communications strategy, serve as the organization’s primary spokesperson, and advise executive leadership during periods of public scrutiny and transformational change.
Key focus areas include:
Organizational reputation and trust-building
Media relations, crisis and change communications
Digital, social, and stakeholder engagement strategies
Executive and legislative communications
Ideal candidates Bring 15+ years of senior communications experience, exceptional writing and leadership skills, and a strong background in high-profile or highly regulated environments.
