Title: Manager, Venue Event Sales
Reports To: Director, Revenue Operations
Compensation: $60k - $70k Base Plus Commission, OTE $120
ABOUT THE ROLE WNDR is seeking a full-time, onsite Manager of Venue Event Sales to join the team based in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations, this role is perfect for someone who can turn curiosity into bookings and vision into reality at our one-of-a-kind event venue. We are looking for a relationship-builder who thrives in a creative environment and knows how to guide clients from initial contact to signed contract, remaining the primary point of contact with an on-site presence during the event execution. Owning the sales process from sourcing leads and responding to inbound inquiries, venue tours, developing proposals, contract negotiations, coordinating event details with operations and caterers, executing events, and event recaps.
An ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, a creative mindset, ability to collaborate with operations, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven events/hospitality background.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Own Full Cycle Sales Process from lead sourcing to event execution
Event Planning that brings the space to life and showcases its possibilities
Effectively Communicate with Operations, Marketing, and Vendors
Develop relationships with planners, partners, and clients
Maintain accurate records in CRM and track pipeline performance
Provide constructive feedback on ideas, issues, wants, and needs to improve client experience
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly booking goals
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum three years experience in events or hospitality sales
A natural connector with a warm, confident communication style
Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up habits
Strong problem solving skills and a “let’s make it happen” attitude
Available to work some evenings and weekends based on event schedule
Industry connections a plus
Ability to lift 25 lbs
