Your role on the team: (job description)

Reaches and exceeds targeted revenue goals by closing new business and increasing market share of existing customers.

Builds, maintains, and manages account relationships through constant contact and advocacy.

Qualifies new prospects via inside and outside sales effort.

Seeks to understand the underlying challenges of the opportunity and design solutions that address the customer's short and long-term needs.

Makes sales presentations to prospective and existing customers.

Grows profitability by managing the top and bottom lines of your accounts, maintaining up to date revenue projections and accurate resource allocation.

Ensures the team is optimally staffed and organized to maximize performance and achieve results.

Tracks and maintains operational activity metrics and ensures that weekly/monthly quotas are met.

Collaborates with management to proactively identify and/or resolve issues promptly.

What you need: (requirements)

Minimum 5 years of Freight Operations or Brokerage experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Proven track record in cold calling and sales prospecting in a business-to-business environment

Demonstrated experience in consultative and strategic sales.

Third-party logistics (3PL) experience and familiarity with TMS systems

Proven freight pricing abilities including responding appropriately to changes in market conditions.

PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Exceptional customer service focus and skills

Must have a drive to succeed, confidence and superior verbal communication skills.

Able to travel as necessary to achieve the goals of the position.
