Responsibilities
Fabricate, repair, and maintain tools, dies, fixtures, and aircraft parts to support production needs
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to produce accurate tooling components
Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
Use precision measuring instruments both in-shop and on-aircraft to validate quality and dimensional accuracy
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve tooling challenges and improve production processes
Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all components meet required standards
Support Aircraft Structures III tasks including assembly, installation, and structural repairs as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool & Die Maker
5+ years operating manual mill and lathe machines
5+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
5+ years using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker (preferred title specialization)
Familiarity with Aircraft Structures III processes and procedures
Flexibility to support aircraft structural assembly, installation, and repair work as needed
