Job Overview Marvin Composites is hiring a Tool and Die Maker/CNC Machinist in Fargo, ND to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment (vertical mills, wire EDMs, surface grinders) to manufacture and repair precision dies and tooling. The role includes inspecting and maintaining equipment, performing quality checks with precision measuring tools, supporting production, and participating in continuous improvement in a team environment.
Compensation ranges $24–$42/hr plus shift premiums, with a $4,000 sign‑on bonus, relocation support, and comprehensive benefits starting day one.
Schedule / Pay Base rate: $24–$42/hr
Shift premiums:
Overnight Premium
+20% of hourly rate Second Shift Premium
+10% of hourly rate Weekend Premium
+$4.00/hr
Highlights of Your Role
Work with advanced equipment in a well‑equipped Tool and Die department.
Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as vertical mills, wire EDMs, and surface grinders to manufacture and modify precision dies and other tooling.
Create and edit programs on various controls to produce high‑end tooling.
Inspect, maintain, and repair machining equipment, tools, and dies to ensure top‑quality performance.
Perform quality checks with measuring and gauging tools, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines for on‑time delivery and minimal waste.
You're a Good Fit If You Have (or Can)
A team‑focused mentality, with the ability to train and mentor.
A proactive approach to supporting production and solving challenges.
Two or more years of related experience as a Tool & Die Maker or CNC Machinist, OR a technical degree such as Precision Machining Technology.
Mechanical or technical proficiency to operate equipment such as CNC mill or surface grinder.
