This full-time position offers competitive pay, steady work, and opportunities for long-term growth. As a Metal Panel Carpenter, you'll work with experienced tradespeople on a wide variety of commercial construction projects across Wisconsin.
What You'll Do
Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe, organized worksite.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout, dimensions, and materials.
Measure, mark, and cut metal panels, flashings, and furring channels using appropriate tools (hand tools, power tools, and metal cutting equipment)
Install metal wall panels, flashings, furring systems, and insulation according to project requirements.
Fasten and secure metal components using screws, rivets, clips, and other hardware.
Verify alignment, plumb, and level of installed panels and structures.
Inspect installed panels and related components for defects or damage and perform necessary repairs.
Erect scaffolding or use lifts for work at elevated heights.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Remove and replace damaged or defective metal components.
Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors as needed.
Ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing of metal wall systems.
Operate drills, saws, and other metal fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
Attend and participate in worksite progress meetings
Prepare cost estimates for labor and materials when required.
