POSITION SUMMARY

Performs technical and administrative tasks at the direction of the Manager Quality Assurance.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

• The Technical Publications Specialist acts as an assistant to the Manager Quality Assurance.

• Maintains and makes available a current library of maintenance manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, FAA regulations, and standard operating procedures.

• Prepares documents and other information for submission to the FAA. Ø Analyzes and interprets quality data in order to develop, methods, procedures, and systems to improve all quality functions.

• Performs special assignments and projects, as directed by the Manager Quality Assurance.

• Properly certificated in accordance with FAR 65, Subpart D.

• Actively participates in company directed continuous improvement initiatives and activities.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Diploma, BS Degree in Aviation preferred

• A&P License

Experience:

• AS9100 / ISO 9001 / CASE-1A familiarization a plus Ø Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

• Generally, 5-8 years' experience as an aircraft inspector

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft

• Ability to understand procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.

• Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.

• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
