Job Title :
Growth Associate (WordPress Skills)
Position Type : Contract (6 months with potential extensions)
Location :
Charlotte, NC (preferred)
or Oakland, CA
Hybrid role -
3 days/week onsite, 2 days/week remote
Background, Skills, and Qualifications
At least 2+ years of experience with WordPress
Ability to code using CSS and have an understanding of HTML
Experience with page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery)
Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Familiar with SEO principles and how to optimize websites for visibility and performance.
Well‑organized and able to manage multiple tasks while keeping projects on track and on time.
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles with an attention to detail
Responsibilities
Support stakeholders to
build and customize new pages in WordPress; while maintaining existing pages.
Provide
solutions to launch complicated design elements and features
Be a great team player, keen on working in an expanding, motivated, distributed support team
Ability to
diagnose WordPress issues
by isolating potential factors and
providing resolution
Learn and apply best practices for database interaction, including
writing and optimizing SQL queries
Customize and extend
WordPress plugins
to meet business needs
Collaborate with designers stakeholders via Figma and Workfront
to implement website features
Ensure website performance, security, responsiveness, and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems
Optimize websites for SEO, accessibility, and page speed
Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance
Follow best practices for coding standards, version control, and documentation
