We currently have a new career opportunity for a full-time CU-Thrive Community Engagement Specialist based out of our corporate office (Enterprise) in Appleton! After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for hybrid (2-3 days onsite/week, 2-3 days remote) work consideration.
The CU-Thrive Community Engagement Specialist is a dynamic hybrid role that blends financial education, community outreach, member relationship building, and business development. This individual serves as a key connector between Fox Communities Credit Union and the communities we serve—delivering financial literacy, cultivating partnerships, supporting branch teams, and driving member growth.
The primary responsibilities of the CU-Thrive Community Engagement Specialist role include but are not limited to:
Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
Developing and delivering engaging financial literacy presentations and workshops for community partners and members
Creating and maintaining educational content on topics such as budgeting, credit, saving, and debt management
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations
Identifying and engaging prospective business and community partners to expand the reach of the CU-Thrive program
Achieving assigned goals
Serving as the primary contact for assigned community and business partners, ensuring satisfaction and ongoing collaboration
Representing Fox at community events, benefit fairs, and partner meetings
Collaborating with marketing to develop and distribute promotional materials
Tracking outreach activities, member engagement, and performance metrics
Working with internal teams to align messaging and ensure consistent delivery of financial education
Candidates for the CU-Thrive Community Engagement Specialist position should possess:
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or relevant work experience
Prior financial industry experience is required
5+ years in sales, business development, education, or community outreach
1–2 years of experience in education, financial services, or community outreach preferred.
Experience in financial services or team member (employee) benefits programs preferred
Experience creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
Passion for wanting to increase financial literacy for all
Proficient at public speaking and conducting webinars
Ability to display professionalism with well-developed communication necessary for working in a team environment and projecting a positive image as a representative of the credit union
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to facilitate interactive discussions with students and adults of all ages
Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively work independently
Attention to detail and superior organization and planning skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 8am-5:00pm (there could be times where after hours and/or weekend hours are needed)
