Overview
We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time VP, Commercial Relationship Manager based out of our Calumet location in Appleton, WI! While our corporate office is in Appleton, were excited to expand our reach and welcome applicants from the Milwaukee area and surrounding regions. After initial onboarding onsite, this position could have the opportunity for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or remote options for Milwaukee-based candidates. Candidates must reside in Wisconsin to be considered.
The VP, Commercial Relationship Manager, develops and manages a portfolio of commercial relationships with the overall objective of maintaining strong asset quality through solid underwriting and monitoring, and growth by developing new and existing business relationships. This position will manage the largest and most complex commercial relationships. This role also represents the credit union in the local community through active community involvement.
Responsibilities
Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
Proactively managing a portfolio of commercial members by delivering a high level of service, anticipating business needs, and providing expert guidance.
Identifying and engaging prospective members through networking and outreach, while building strong relationships to deliver tailored deposit, lending, and cash management solutions.
Partnering with other business lines to provide collaborative solutions to members.
Acting as a first line of defense to manage risk through ongoing monitoring of an existing commercial portfolio to help maintain a high asset quality.
Portfolio management through timely annual reviews and loan renewals and proactively monitoring and addressing payment delinquencies and overdrafts to maintain portfolio quality and compliance.
Maintaining up to date member files as required by loan policy and underwriting standards.
Maximizing profitability through appropriate loan and deposit pricing, fee income, and cross-selling of all products and services.
Negotiating terms and structuring loan financing based on relationship and risk considerations.
Reviewing member financial statements, assessing borrower and industry risk, and working with underwriting to prepare credit presentations.
Managing the loan process from origination to closing, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
Serving as a leader within the Commercial Team by actively sharing ideas, promoting collaboration, and mentoring others.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with a focus in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related field
Seven+ years of proven related experience
Two+ years of commercial underwriting/credit experience is required
Thorough knowledge of commercial banking products and holistic financial solutions
Proven track record in working with all levels of senior management
Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and credit union team members
Strong initiative, self-direction, and a focus on financial relationship building
