Sales Manager – Roofing

Charlotte, NC | Leadership Role | $110k–$150k OTE

This is not a rep role.

This is ownership of the sales engine.

About the Role Northline Roofing is a growing residential roofing company in Charlotte, currently producing $4–5M annually and scaling toward $6–10M.

We are hiring a senior Sales Manager to fully own the sales function — training, pricing discipline, accountability, and team performance — with a clear mandate to lead the team to $5.7M in annual revenue (excluding owner sales).

This role is for someone who has already done this before and wants authority, stability, and upside — not chaos or micromanagement.

What You’ll Own

Lead, coach, and develop a team of outside sales representatives

Run weekly sales meetings, one‑on‑ones, and pipeline reviews

Set clear expectations around activity, follow‑up, and professionalism

Improve close rates, average job size, and overall consistency

Help hire, onboard, and ramp new sales reps

Refine sales scripts, training, and processes (no gimmicks, no pressure tactics)

Ensure clean handoffs to operations with accurate paperwork and pricing

Own sales performance toward annual revenue goals

You will not be:

Running your own book of business

Competing with reps

“Helping close deals” forever

Your success is measured by team output and margin, not personal heroics.

What Success Looks Like (12 Months)

Team produces $5.7M+ in collected revenue (owner excluded)

Predictable monthly production

Clear standards and accountability across the sales team

Owner no longer required for pricing, coaching, or deal support

Who This Role Is For This role is a fit if you:

Have 7–15+ years in home services sales (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Windows & Doors)

Have managed salespeople, not just sold personally

Have owned a revenue number in the $5–15M range

Are comfortable enforcing pricing discipline

Can coach, confront, and lead adults

Want to build something stable and scalable

This role is not a fit if you:

Need to keep selling to feel valuable

Avoid accountability conversations

Want a loose structure

Prefer hype over numbers

Compensation & Structure

Base salary: ~$75,000 - $85,000

On‑target earnings: $110,000–$150,000

Performance‑based upside tied to:

Team collected net revenue

Margin performance

Rep success and retention

Bonuses are gated by margin and execution.
