The Account Executive is responsible for driving growth by acquiring new commercial and industrial customers, maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding revenue within existing accounts. This role requires a balance of field activity, customer engagement, and disciplined use of CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial sectors.
Target both new-to-market and competitor-conversion accounts.
Focus on customers generating between
$200–$2,000 per month
in recurring revenue.
Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive activity to anticipate customer needs.
Develop a deep understanding of company services, pricing structures, and value propositions.
Establish and sustain long-term business relationships to drive revenue growth and meet pricing objectives.
Prepare and execute service agreements with new customers.
Represent the company at trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, and other industry functions to increase visibility and network with prospects.
Partner with operations and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
Conduct on-site visits as needed to assess client needs and service performance.
Utilize
Salesforce (or similar CRM)
daily to document activities, manage leads, and track the sales pipeline.
Meet weekly activity standards, including outbound calls, appointments, and opportunity follow-ups.
Consistently achieve or exceed monthly growth and sales quotas.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven ability to achieve revenue goals and maintain strong client relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) for pipeline and lead management.
Strong presentation and active listening skills.
High personal drive and self‑motivation with a strong sense of ownership and competitiveness.
Requirements
Minimum
3+ years of sales experience
with a track record of exceeding revenue goals in
B2B
environments.
2+ years of industry experience
in solid waste, recycling, or related services.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
