Summary The Senior Director, Community Marketing leads the strategy and execution of in-person and on-site marketing initiatives across a portfolio of multifamily communities. This role is responsible for driving brand reputation, resident engagement, and occupancy through local partnerships, community events, and innovative marketing programs. The Senior Director collaborates closely with the Digital Marketing team to ensure integrated campaigns and works with cross-functional partners to support resident retention and satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader, experienced in multifamily or hospitality, and passionate about building vibrant, resident‑focused communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.)

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Marketing Managers, ensuring consistent execution of community marketing strategies.

Foster a collaborative culture and open communication across on-site, corporate, and digital marketing teams.

Serve as a key point of contact for clients and property owners regarding community marketing initiatives and reporting.

Community Marketing & Engagement

Oversee the planning and execution of resident engagement programs, on-site events, and local partnership activations to drive resident satisfaction and retention.

Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to enhance community value and brand presence.

Partner with Digital Marketing to design and implement integrated campaigns that align with overall brand messaging and objectives.

Process Improvement & Analytics

Analyze performance metrics including occupancy, retention, event ROI, and resident satisfaction to optimize marketing efforts.

Continuously evaluate and refine marketing processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with company standards.

Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.

Stakeholder & Resident Engagement

Respond to resident, client, and stakeholder inquiries related to community marketing with a high standard of service.

Promote a positive resident experience by championing high empathy, care, and community-building in all initiatives.

Travel up to 50% to visit communities, attend events, and engage with local teams and partners.

Preferred Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.

Experience

5+ years of leadership experience in multifamily, hospitality, or related marketing roles.

3+ years of experience managing teams and multi-site portfolios.

3+ years of experience working with third‑party owners/clients at a Regional level or above.

Direct experience with RealPage and Yardi property management systems.

Proficiency in HubSpot CRM, Google Analytics, and project/event management tools.

Skills

Data‑driven with the ability to analyze metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Travel

Up to 50% travel may be required, depending on the location of assigned properties.
