Fleur de Lis Communications (FDLC) is a strategic communications firm dedicated to telling the stories of people and organizations who are making their communities better. We provide messaging strategy, public relations, social media management, and a range of content creation services including video production. With clients ranging from global corporations to local non‑profits, our talented team works collaboratively across all assignments, fostering a supportive work environment while delivering meaningful results for our clients. Role

We're currently looking for a creative, experienced storyteller to join our team. The primary focus of the position will be to manage client accounts focused on video production and media relations. However, the Content Strategist will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of roles, and should express a willingness to take on regularly expanding responsibilities, including business development. Responsibilities

Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video content for client campaigns, social media, websites, and media outreach Translate client messaging and campaign goals into engaging visual stories Manage video projects from start to finish, including scripting, filming, editing, and delivery Create short-form and long-form video content (reels, interviews, b‑roll, testimonials, explainers, event recaps) Maintain brand consistency across all visual content Coordinate video needs for client events, announcements, and launches Engage with clients to advise on strategy and develop strategic communications campaigns Develop and maintain relationships with media members to create opportunities for client exposure Advise on messaging strategy for clients – both internally and externally Write and distribute press releases to media outlets for clients Field and advise on inbound media requests for clients Organize events for clients as needed (i.e. ribbon cutting, ground breaking, press conference, grand opening, etc) and strategize media component Monitor news landscape for opportunities and risks for clients Participate in client meetings, and maintain communication with clients as assigned Produce and, where possible, create and execute multimedia content and campaigns for FDLC and clients Prepare client reports and presentations as assigned Support FDLC team during client events and projects What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field Experience shooting and editing high-quality video and/or stills on DSLR camera Experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe After Effects Excellent writing and research skills Strong understanding of news media workflow Professional communication and organizational skills Detail oriented, collaborative, and curious Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience using software like Meltwater, Hootsuite/Metricool and TVEyes for media monitoring Details

40 hours per week, in-person at FDLC’s downtown Louisville office or on client location Exempt (salaried) position 1 PTO day earned per month (12 days per year) 10 fully paid company holidays per year Eligible for company 401(k) after 90 days, including 3% employer contribution Company-funded HRA if not covered by other insurance Pre-tax phone/internet allowance Eligibility for quarterly and monthly bonuses
