Position Title Procurement (Purchasing) Specialist

Schedule Hybrid: Onsite (T, W, Th) and Remote (M, F)

Overview The Procurement Specialist works within the Procurement Organization, providing sourcing, contracting and category management services. The role supports the Procurement Category Associate Director, executing and managing the category strategy at the transactional level.

Responsibilities

Understand the Organization’s approved buying channels and contracting policy for goods and services and guide requestors to the appropriate buying channel.

Provide administrative support for procurement projects and supplier management (contract redlining, execution, contract reviewing, bid summary justifications, data analysis).

Work with high ethical standard, in compliance with the law and Client policies and procedures.

Support the Category Team strategy by enforcing the supplier preferred network, understanding Category Team initiatives/priorities, having subject matter expertise and educating stakeholders.

Effectively review and negotiate Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and any other agreement aligned with category strategies at the approved spend level.

Manage standard Procure-to-Pay intake contract requests within established Service Level metrics.

Assist in the execution of process efficiency related projects that improve customer experience within the Procure-to-Pay process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 5 years of procurement/negotiations experience in Purchasing (preferably in Facilities Management, but not limited to).

Real Estate Services Procurement experience is a nice to have.

Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Experience conducting vendor negotiations and Contract Management.

Analytical & Financial Acumen for cost analysis, budgeting and savings identification.

Understanding of contracting in Indirect Procurement space (Statements of Work, Master Agreements).

Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple cross-divisional work processes and projects.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

Skills

Negotiation & Contract Management: Proven ability to secure favorable terms.

Analytical & Financial Acumen: For cost analysis, budgeting, and savings identification.

Relationship Management: Building strategic supplier and client partnerships.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Software: Familiarity with procurement/ERP systems.
