Hotel Operations Manager (Multi-Property)
Carmel Hospitality Group is seeking a
Hotel Operations Manager (Multi-Property)
to oversee operating performance across a small portfolio of branded and independent hotels. This role exists to support and enforce strong General Manager execution, maintain financial and labor discipline, and provide ownership with clear, timely visibility into hotel performance. It is a portfolio-level operations role focused on accountability, metrics, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Review occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR trends weekly
Ensure General Managers are following established pricing and revenue strategies
Oversee sales activity, booking pace, and conversion performance
Review and approve hotel payables and payroll within approved budgets
Enforce labor efficiency and staffing targets
Review monthly P&Ls with each General Manager
Identify variances, margin erosion, and cost control issues early
Labor & Staffing
Ensure each hotel is fully staffed at all times
Ensure every hotel has a strong #2 / Assistant General Manager
Review schedules, staffing models, and coverage plans
Coach General Managers on labor planning and efficiency
Produce weekly and monthly operating dashboards for ownership and GMs
Track revenue, labor, guest satisfaction, and cost performance
Use metrics to drive accountability and corrective action
Guest Experience & Reviews
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and online reviews
Identify trends before reputation damage occurs
Require corrective action plans when standards slip
Marketing & Advertising Oversight
Oversee hotel marketing and advertising efforts
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across properties
Review campaign performance and ROI with GMs and vendors
Facilities Oversight
Ensure hotels are being kept in outstanding physical condition
Assist in prioritizing repairs and outsourcing as needed
General Manager Leadership & Accountability
Conduct structured weekly check-ins with each General Manager
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance accountabilitySurface performance or staffing issues early — no surprises
Qualifications
7+ years of hotel General Manager experience
Multi-property experience preferred
Strong understanding of hotel P&Ls and operating metrics
Proven ability to manage and coach General Managers
Comfortable enforcing standards without micromanaging
Organized, data-driven, calm, and decisive
