JOB DESCRIPTION The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all departments of each campaign, including finance, field, political and communications. The Campaign Manager will report directly to the candidate and a Regional Campaigns Director. The ideal candidates will have at least one cycle of campaign experience and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative environment. The work will require travel, evening, and weekend hours and will be based in a targeted assembly district in Wisconsin.

About Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee We’re working to elect Democrats to the Wisconsin Assembly like our democracy depends on it. The Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (ADCC) is the logistical hub for both incumbent Democratic members of the Assembly and prospective candidates. The ADCC’s resources are used exclusively to assist Assembly candidates and their campaign organizations.

The Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (WI ADCC) is the only Democratic organization solely focused on recruiting, training, and electing Democrats to the Wisconsin State Assembly. With new legislative maps, we are fighting for a Democratic Majority in 2026

Campaign Manager Role

The Campaign Manager will be responsible for all departments of each campaign, including finance, field, political and communications. The Campaign Manager will report directly to the candidate and a Regional Campaigns Director. The ideal candidates will have at least one cycle of campaign experience and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative environment. The work will require travel, evening, and weekend hours and will be based in a targeted assembly district in Wisconsin.

Qualifications Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal Campaigns Manager candidate will possess:

At least one (1) cycle of paid campaign experience strongly preferred

Experience with Votebuilder, NGP, and ActBlue

Excellent Google Docs and Microsoft Excel skills

Quick problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset. Must be able to take, give, and implement feedback

Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines at once and keep calm in stressful situations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Reliable access to a computer and personal transportation is required

Ability to serve as a representative of the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee and our policies, including neutrality as directed.

Job Responsibilities

Work with a team of consultants and caucus staff to draft and implement a robust campaign plan that outlines campaign efforts through Election Day, including fundraising, voter contact, volunteer recruitment, local stakeholder outreach, and local media outreach.

Manage the candidates to ensure that strategic campaign objectives are being met.

Develop and execute a multifaceted finance plan with programs aimed at multiple donor categories (including PACs, high and low dollar individuals, and other institutional givers)

Manage candidate/principal call time, including donor research, tracking pledges, conducting all follow-up correspondence, and officially thanking donors

Build on, manage, and improve the existing donor database to identify, research, and recruit new donors

Report to, coordinate with, and ensure ADCC HQ staff are fully informed of all progress and roadblocks in the district, preventing information silos or information gatekeeping

Develop and nurture relationships with key community leaders, neighborhood associations, opinion leaders, and organizations.

Oversee field operations, including canvass scheduling and launches, volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention

Collaborate with candidate/principal, caucus staff and consultants on messaging, outreach strategy, and get out the vote activities

Prepare candidate/principal for interviews & debates, create press releases, manage press relationships and rapid response communications

Supervise and manage campaign staff, interns, and volunteers

Manage day to day campaign operations, coordinate candidate/principal’s schedule and prioritize to ensure time is allocated wisely

On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election‑preparation as necessary.

Statewide travel is expected while following public health safety measures.

Compensation Salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. All caucus staff are provided with a full health care benefits package, including vision and dental.
