Senior Technical Designer Seeking candidate with a love of design and design software. Strong knowledge of design software functionality and its application to Interior Design services. Desire to work with designers and IT to develop a holistic approach to design software implementation and the design documentation workflow.

Job Description As a Senior Technical Designer, you will be leading all aspects of the design software management and involved in Interior Architecture documentation. The software products include, but are not limited to, Adobe Suites, Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, Enscape, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Specsources (including Revit plug-in called SpecBIM). The documentation responsibilities include leading the documentation and workflow standards for Design Development and Construction Documentation, assisting with detail development. Reporting to the Associates and Principals, and working alongside our IT consultant, you will be helping to implement, train, and grow BAMO’s design technology and interior architecture documentation and visualization capabilities.

What you can expect in a Senior Technical Designer Role at BAMO Design Technology

Orient, train and mentor first-time software users

Work with/support users in understanding their needs, which software functions to use and resolving problems associated with Software use

Ownership, maintenance and creation of training materials and software templates

Periodic training updates for all users

Support Projects Kick Off, internal and external with other consultants

Coordinate software deployments with IT; establish project needs and internal road map

Liaison with IT Consultant and BIM Users in updating in-house network, server and workstation hardware

Coordinate with license software providers.

Marketplace research to identify new technologies

Develop strategies for using software and software plug-ins to improve efficiencies and company competitiveness

Interior Architecture

Develop and maintain Design Development and Construction Document standards and workflows

Mentor staff in architectural detail development

Perform QA/QC reviews for Construction Documents

Preferred Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture or related field

Minimum 10 years of related experience in design and design industry software

Must be team-oriented, flexible, productive, able to work under pressure and gain the confidence of team members

Excellent communication and people skills required

Must be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate project and technical needs, and drive timely resolutions across multidisciplinary teams

Must have an analytical background, able to gather and write requirements

Must have experience coordinating BIM kick-off meetings with external project consultants

Previous experience in BIM and CAD management

Previous experience with AI tools and architectural software integration

Experience in the interior design industry, including experience producing FF&E specifications with specifications software

Experience with and interest in interior design industry software

Benefits Summary

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
