The Director of Air Contracting and Analytics is a hybrid commercial and analytics leader responsible for maximizing air cost savings while building the data foundation that powers contracting, pricing, and airline negotiations. This role owns airline partner strategy and negotiations, leveraging data insights to structure competitive contracts and tactical pricing that support selling campaigns. In parallel, the role leads the roadmap for air data and reporting—ensuring analytics are embedded into daily decision-making across the air contracting function. This role reports to the VP of Air Contracting and Operations and has one direct report. Key Responsibilities
Air Contracting & Cost Optimization (60%)
Lead airline relationship management and negotiate data-driven agreements and contracts Deliver against air cost savings targets through effective use of analytics and market insights Secure backend agreements and tactical pricing commitments to support major selling campaigns Broaden the airline supplier base while deepening strategic partner relationships Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of air data and reporting capabilities Ensure data warehouse readiness and development of new air reporting solutions Define future-state use cases for air data to support contracting, pricing, and performance management Drive adoption of analytics as a core operating discipline within the air contracting team Finance Collaboration (10%)
Partner with Finance on air costing for new product development Develop and execute a plan to increase automation and efficiency in the air costing process Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Finance, or a related field 5–7 years of experience in airline or agency commercial, contracting, pricing, analytics, or procurement roles Proven track record of negotiating airline agreements and delivering measurable cost savings Strong analytical expertise, including reporting and data insights (e.g., Tableau, SQL) and familiarity with data warehousing concepts Executive-level communication skills and experience leading small, high-impact teams Experience with air booking and inventory systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, RightRez) strongly preferred Total Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $145,000 – $165,000 annually for employees based in Boston, MA. Final compensation may vary and will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus and first-class benefits, which include: Health & wellness:
