Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Pay rate: $45 to $50 per hour
About the Role The NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) Office of Information Technology is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the development and enhancement of a mobile and web-based Community Visit Schedule Application for the Division of Child Protection (DCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom Salesforce solutions, integrating them with existing systems, and ensuring secure and efficient functionality across platforms.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
Design Salesforce data models to support application workflows
Develop and deploy custom Salesforce applications using Apex, LWC, and Aura Components
Build a responsive web interface and mobile experience using Salesforce Mobile Publisher
Set up user access, roles, permissions, and sharing rules
Enable real-time notifications using Push Topics, Platform Events, or Streaming API
Develop reports and dashboards for supervisory monitoring
Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
Participate in unit testing, QA cycles, and post-deployment support
Maintain code quality and adhere to ACS’s IT development standards
Support system enhancements, bug fixes, and performance monitoring
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience
Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components
Proficiency in SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce security best practices
Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and version control tools
Familiarity with Salesforce automation tools and deployment pipelines
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
