Equal Opportunity Specialist - Recruitment & Hiring

Location: Moscow, Off Campus Location – Hybrid possible. Position Overview

The Equal Opportunity (EO) Specialist assists with the development, monitoring and coordination of equal opportunity responsibilities related to employee recruitment, hiring and employee retention. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities

Provide guidance to hiring managers, search committees and college/admin EO Representatives on federal/state equal opportunity regulations and university policies. Monitor faculty and staff recruitment and hiring processes within the university’s applicant tracking system for consistency and compliance with applicable laws. Partner with hiring managers and EO Representatives to develop strategies to build qualified applicant pools. Coordinate the college/admin EO Representative Program. Design and deliver training and supplemental resource guides for faculty and staff. Assist with compiling data for various reports. Show discretion, independent problem solving, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Work with and create/maintain effective relationships with university and community members. Qualifications

Required Experience

– Three years in human resources or recruitment and hiring compliance; a Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or business may substitute for this experience. Required Education

– High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, business, human resource management, communication or education. Experience in recruitment/hiring, classification/compensation, employee training, employee relations, equal opportunity or reasonable accommodation. Experience explaining and applying equal employment guidelines and developing related training programs. Experience exporting, analyzing data, developing reports, and using data to improve future operations. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting needs and timelines. Proficiency with personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Application Requirements
