Job Summary The Senior Technology Deployment Specialist is responsible for the complete lifecycle of computing and mobile devices, ensuring timely procurement, preparation, and delivery of ready‑to‑use technology to the workforce. This role emphasizes efficiency in provisioning large volumes of devices, maintaining compliance, and enabling optimal user adoption through effective training.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Management

Source and procure computing and mobile devices in alignment with organizational standards and budget.

Maintain accurate asset records using ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Intune, SOTI, Zendesk).

Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and vendor contracts.

Device Preparation & Deployment

Configure and prepare devices for immediate use, including OS installation, security enrollment (MDM), and application setup.

Activate lines, assign devices, and ensure connectivity (Wi‑Fi, eSIM, Ethernet).

Coordinate large‑scale provisioning for new hires and organizational events (e.g., Tech Day).

Ship peripheral equipment and ensure complete desk setup prior to deployment.

User Enablement & Training

Deliver engaging onboarding sessions and presentations to large groups of employees.

Create user‑specific welcome sheets and provide credentials for essential systems (Pennant, HHC, Pointcare, HCHB, SSO).

Conduct initial sign‑ins and troubleshoot access issues promptly.

Train users on device functionality, security practices, and productivity tools for optimal utilization.

Device Return & Lifecycle Management

Receive and log returned equipment, inspect for damage, and verify asset details.

Wipe data, reimage devices, and confirm compliance with security standards before redeployment.

Identify opportunities for refurbishing and cost optimization, documenting savings and sustainability benefits.

Required Competencies

High Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey technical concepts and engage large audiences.

Technical Competence: Strong knowledge of IT hardware/software, asset management tools, and security standards.

Certifications: ITIL or equivalent certifications preferred.

Training Expertise: Skilled in delivering effective end‑user training sessions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field.

4+ years of experience in IT asset management or IT operations.

Proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, Intune, SOTI, Zendesk, Excel, Verizon Business Portal, AT&T Premier Business Portal, InvGate.
