This position is responsible for providing technical support and training for Public School Units in the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of high-quality Career and Technical Education programs that prepare students for college, career, and life readiness.
Job Responsibilities:
Position will ensure alignment with state and federal requirements while providing local Career and Technical Education Administrators and Work-based Learning and Career Development Coordinators with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to develop and deliver high-quality Career and Technical Education programs.
Position will monitor work-based learning and career development compliance and statewide reporting of Career and Technical Education measures, such as course enrollments related to work-based learning, implementation of Career Development Plans, and local initiatives that support work-based learning and career development activities for students.
Position will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop and implement work-based learning and career development initiatives statewide.

The Office of Career and Technical Education serves as the Agency’s contact for the Community College System’s articulation with Perkins legislation and accountability. The Career and Technical Education staff provides leadership, service and accountability to local schools for Career and Technical Education programs and comprehensive career development. Services provided include policy development and interpretation, curriculum development, personnel and management of career and technical student organizations.
