About the Job
The Manager, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting will play an integral role in developing and maintaining reports, analytics, and the central data of FMI’s expanding portfolio. Additional responsibilities of this position include resource management planning and reporting, in addition to ad hoc Portfolio, Finance, and Commercial requests. Leveraging strong analytical and data visualization capabilities, the Mgr, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting will identify and communicate key insights to enable effective resource and portfolio management.
This role is a valuable team member of the Portfolio and Program Management (PPM) team and plays a critical role in helping FMI prioritize and manage projects and programs directly associated with FMI's mission to combine genomic profile products and data services to general insights that can help doctors match patients to more treatment options and help accelerate the development of new therapies. The Mgr, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting collaborates and coordinates across key business units, business teams, project teams, and functional managers to ensure resources are available to support portfolio projects and programs and key implementation metrics are monitored to support delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain portfolio health and metric reports to provide visibility into portfolio performance and risks.
Manage and optimize the portfolio database, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of data.
Lead resource management planning, reporting, and analyses, aligning resource capacity and allocation with organizational priorities.
Partner with portfolio stakeholders to provide actionable insights that support decision-making.
Synthesize and interpret large volumes of data into clear, concise, and meaningful reports.
Drive continuous improvement in portfolio reporting processes, tools, and methodologies.
Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and transparency in portfolio and resource management.
Supports the PPM Leadership Team and the Portfolio Delivery Committee (PDC) by serving as a key contributor of insights from the approved portfolio
Identifies and implements enhancements to the quality and management of resource and portfolio data and works with adjacent functions to harmonize linked business processes

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years in an analyst, finance, portfolio management or consulting setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (or similar) for advanced data analysis and visualization
Strong analytical skills and an experienced understanding of resource planning processes and data visualization
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated history facilitating meetings with successful results
Ability to partner and work effectively with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights
Experience designing and utilizing databases
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly
Willingness to work a flexible schedule as projects dictate and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with a great deal of attention to detail
Responsible and resourceful in finding answers and solutions when information and data is not readily available
Understanding of HIPAA and importance of patient safety and data privacy regulations and guidelines

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, MA is $113,500 – $133,500 per year. The salary range is commensurate with Foundation Medicine's compensation practice and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for Foundation Medicine's benefits.
