An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director to oversee operations at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital. This contract position offers the chance to step into a leadership role immediately, managing pharmacy services and acting as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on-site. Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational oversight of the pharmacy department. Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication management. Utilize RX Connect pharmacy IT systems for efficient workflow and documentation. Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of safety and quality. Qualifications: Active California pharmacist license is required. Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings. Strong leadership skills with a focus on regulatory compliance and patient safety. Familiarity with RX Connect and hospital pharmacy operations preferred. Location: This role is based in El Cajon, CA, within the San Diego metropolitan area. Schedule: Monday through Friday, day-shift hours. This contract is for 13 weeks with the potential to transition to a permanent role. Travel expenses including hotel, car rental, and flights will be covered or reimbursed at cost.
