Customer Service Representative

serves as a primary contact for members, healthcare providers, and prospective customers. This role delivers timely, accurate, and courteous support related to health plan benefits, eligibility, provider services, authorizations, and prescription coverage. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems while providing a positive customer experience in a high-volume call center setting. Job Duties

Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providers, employers, and prospective customers via phone and email Respond to inquiries related to eligibility, enrollment, benefits, provider services, authorizations, and prescription coverage Verify coverage details, explain benefits and limitations, and calculate member cost-sharing responsibilities Review service codes and authorization requirements using internal systems and reference tools Assist healthcare providers with network participation, contracts, and claim-related questions Route and document sales-related inquiries and support coordination with the sales team Review authorization and pharmacy systems to provide status updates and elevate issues when appropriate Process member requests for ID cards, letters, and benefit documentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all customer interactions Follow assigned schedules, policies, and procedures in a high-volume call center environment Participate in ongoing training and perform additional duties as assigned #RemedyHIjobs Job Requirements

At least six (6) months of customer service experience High school diploma or equivalent Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience, preferred Prior experience in healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration, preferred Ability to work across multiple computer systems simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel Strong keyboarding, data entry, and computer navigation skills Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication abilities Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Equal Opportunity Employer
