Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Psychosocial board-certification or licensure, preferred
2+ years previous experience as a professional or volunteer in healthcare, human services or similar agency
2+ years management or supervisory experience, preferred
Ability to coordinate, supervise and evaluate volunteer services
Experience in community outreach, marketing or business development, preferred
Responsibilities
Responsible for development of Volunteer Strategic Plan to ensure compliance with conditions of participation in conjunction with the strategic vision of the program site
Collaborate with Executive Director and Patient Experience leadership team
Participate on committees, community boards, and identify unmet community needs to support the site’s Volunteer Strategic Plan
Attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings and participate in the development and review of the plan of care for patients and their families
Create and maintain a “Speaker’s Bureau” to further establish the program site’s presence in the community
Collaborate with the site’s Community Educator
Participate in the overall growth strategy of the site, including community outreach efforts
Review new admissions, assign volunteers and provide the necessary information both verbally and written
Maintain regular contact with patient & family support volunteers to discuss volunteers' interactions, assess working relationship with other team members, keep volunteers informed of changes in the patient's condition and plan of care, encourage timely documentation, offer support to, and provide additional information and resources to volunteers as needed
