This position requires office presence of a minimum of days per week and is only located in Dallas, Texas. No relocation is offered.

AT&T is looking for an Associate Director-SAFe Agile Mgmt to lead and supervise a team comprised of scrum masters and an RTE, ensuring the on-time development, delivery, and optimization of HR technology operations across various technical sub-families to align with organizational goals and drive innovation. Sub-family areas are Product/Project Management, Product Owners, Software Configuration/Design and Delivery, and Quality Assurance.

What you'll do:

  • Team Leadership: Leads scrum masters & RTE who identify impediments (blockers) & work to remove them in order to progress and fostering software delivery & continuous improvement.
  • SAFe Agile Event Management: Oversees the execution of quarterly PI planning events, as well as ensures the execution of other SAFe agile ceremonies such as POPM sync, WSJF prioritization, retrospectives, and more.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Analyzes & reports on the end-to-end operations of the HR Technology department. Identifies impediments, bottlenecks, and other issues & communicates them to peers & leadership. Partners with leaders of delivery & product/project management teams to resolve impediments.

Contribution: Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 5+ years of related experience.
