Job Description Lifeguard Lead is an entry level supervisory position that also performs the same duties as the Lifeguards they supervise. Responsible for supervising the daily operation of the pool and pool deck areas. This includes staffing, cleanliness, service provisions and retail operations.
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa Four Diamond Service Standards at all times
Provides courteous guest service to all guests
Assists PoolManager with scheduling, training, supervising and motivating approximately 20 team members
Works with staff to enforce facility rules in a professional and courteous manner
Ensure that all team members are trained and certified and understand all emergency procedures
Works closely with security to report all injuries and ensure our guests safety at all times
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
Supervise daily activity of pool and lifeguards
Obtains a bank, operates a cash register, and balances cash drawer on a daily basis
Charges and collects payment for pool admissions, cabana sales, pool memberships, and retain product
Assist in inventorying retail product and stocking as needed
Uses a Saflok key encoder to verify hotel guest are registered
Wristbands all pool guest and monitors pool for unauthorized guests
Actively sells cabanas and day beds and monitors to ensure only paid guests are utilizing them
Pre-sets up pool chairs, day beds, and cabanas for guests according to service standards
Qualifications
Atleast six (6) months lifeguarding experience
Lifeguard/First Aid certification required
Mustbe able to obtain CPR Instructor Certification
Must possess excellent customer service, leadership, organizational andcommunication skills
Mustbe flexible to work long hours when necessary
Mustbe able to get along with team members and work as a team
Mustpresent a well-groomed appearance
Mustbe able to reach the furthest extent of the assigned zone of BATHER surveillance within 20 seconds
Lifeguards will not be assigned other responsibilities while performing BATHER surveillance
