Director of Pharmacy

Woburn, MA Monday–Friday | No weekends $160,000–$170,000 annually (commensurate with experience) ✅

We are seeking an experienced

Director of Pharmacy

to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for pharmacy services within a growing healthcare organization. This role ensures pharmacy operations align with organizational goals while delivering high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management of pharmacy services aligned with clinical, operational, and financial objectives. Champion patient safety, quality of care, and service excellence. Ensure pharmacy services are delivered professionally, safely, and cost-effectively with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Develop and manage annual departmental operating budgets in collaboration with finance and pharmacy leadership. Establish performance metrics and monitor branch performance, including productivity improvement, staffing optimization, and process standardization. Ensure full regulatory compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission standards, including USP

. Oversee proper acquisition, compounding, dispensing, storage, delivery, and administration of pharmaceutical products. Lead the implementation and optimization of pharmacy technologies and information systems. Participate in the development and execution of annual operating plans and budgets. Review, develop, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to pharmacy leadership staff. Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support service delivery and organizational growth. Support the development of new pharmacy services in response to evolving market and patient needs. Collaborate effectively with senior leadership, clinicians, and hospital administrators. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Ensure timely pharmacy support for reimbursement, billing issues, and appeals. Review pharmacy occurrence reports and customer complaints for trends and risk management. Oversee clinical chart audits and provide compliance reporting to leadership. Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Lead policy review and implementation to meet federal, state, and Joint Commission requirements. Support ongoing staff education related to regulatory and policy updates. Ensure protection of patient health information and compliance with privacy standards. Provide ongoing quality assurance reporting to senior leadership. Maintain current knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Qualifications Active

Registered Pharmacist (RPh)

license required. Minimum 4 years of pharmacy management experience required.
