ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Alumni Engagement Coordinator supports the mission of North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) and the NIACC Foundation by developing and implementing programs to engage alumni and strengthen lifelong relationships with the College. This position plays a vital role in institutional advancement by building meaningful connections that inspire engagement and lifelong support of NIACC.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Starting salary of $50,600 to $61,900 based on experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield major medical health insurance; eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans, and a variety of additional optional benefits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to build relationships across diverse populations and work collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. Two or more years of experience in alumni relations, community engagement, or event management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy aligned with the strategic goals of the College and Foundation.
Cultivate meaningful connections with alumni through communication, events, and volunteer opportunities.
Create and manage alumni networks and digital communities to foster engagement.
Plan and execute alumni recognition programs, reunions, and community building events.
Maintain and grow the alumni database, ensuring accuracy and effective segmentation for communication and outreach.
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to highlight alumni success stories across print, digital, and social media platforms.
Develop alumni-centered content for newsletters, the NIACC website, and Foundation publications.
Utilize social media to expand alumni reach and promote engagement opportunities.
Partner with the Director of the NIACC Foundation to identify alumni prospects for philanthropic giving and involvement.
Support donor cultivation efforts by providing background information, assisting with events, and tracking engagement metrics.
Collaborate across campus to connect current students with alumni for mentoring, internships, and career development initiatives.
Assist in planning and executing advancement and fundraising events that strengthen the College's relationships with external stakeholders.
Track and report on alumni engagement activities, event participation, and growth in active alumni connections.
Use data insights to refine outreach strategies and measure progress toward institutional advancement goals.
Maintain strong organizational skills, demonstrate reliability, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Fulfill other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
