The Children's Ministry Director plays a vital role in the growth, leadership, and spiritual development of a vibrant, Christ-centered Children's Ministry. This position provides visions and oversight for ministry to children from birth thru sixth grade, creating a safe, engaging, and faith-filled enviroment where children and families feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and support volunteers who serve in the Children's Ministry.
Select and implement Bible-based curriculum that aligns with church values.
Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs for children from birth thru sixth grade.
Provide leadership and oversight for key ministries, including:
Sunday School
Children's Church
Wednesday Night Small Groups
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Summer Camp
Family Outreach events and special activities
Maintain clear, consistent, and timely communication with families and volunteers.
Build relationships with children and families through thoughtful, Christ-like follow-up, especially with new families.
Collaborate with church leadership to support the overall mission of the church.
Complete additional Children's Ministry related tasks as requested by the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications
A heart for children and families and a commitment to Christ-centered ministry.
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to lead volunteers with encouragement, clarity, and accountability
Compensation
This role is a salary position for part-time
