The Home Health Sales Executive is responsible for growing referrals and revenue for a Medicare-certified and private pay home health agency. This role focuses on building strong relationships with healthcare referral sources and community partners while expanding private pay opportunities. The ideal candidate understands Medicare home health regulations, private pay service models, and excels in consultative, relationship-based selling.

Key Responsibilities

Drive growth in both

Medicare-certified home health

and

private pay services.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase referral volume and private pay revenue.

Build and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, ALFs, ILFs, rehab centers, and community partners.

Educate referral sources and families on

Medicare eligibility, coverage criteria, and private pay options.

Promote private duty services such as skilled nursing, therapy, personal care, companionship, and transitional care.

Conduct in-services, presentations, and community outreach events.

Track referrals, conversions, and revenue using CRM or referral management tools.

Collaborate with intake, clinical, and scheduling teams to ensure seamless admissions and client satisfaction.

Identify opportunities to convert Medicare patients to private pay services when appropriate.

Monitor market trends, competition, and payer mix opportunities.

Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations, HIPAA, and agency policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Healthcare, or related field (preferred).

Minimum of 2–3 years of healthcare sales experience; home health or hospice strongly preferred.

Proven knowledge of

Medicare, home health guidelines and documentation requirements.

Experience selling or promoting

private pay home care services.

Established referral relationships in the local healthcare market (preferred).

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-driven, organized, and results oriented.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills & Competencies

Consultative and solution-based selling.

Strong understanding of Medicare vs. private pay service models.

Relationship management with clinical and non-clinical referral sources.

Territory planning and pipeline management.

CRM, EMR, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Professional, ethical, and customer-focused approach.
