JR-40104150As a **Senior Specialist, Global External Communications**, you will be pivotal in shaping Goodyear’s global reputation through strategic media engagement and visibility initiatives. You’ll lead efforts to bring select PR activities in-house, strengthening media relationships and amplifying our brand presence worldwide. In this role, you’ll manage high-profile speaking opportunities and corporate awards, ensuring alignment with Goodyear’s brand narrative and strategic priorities. Your work will elevate our leadership voice and showcase business achievements on a global stage.**What****You’ll****Do*** Lead in-house media outreach efforts to promote Goodyear’s corporate story, business milestones and leadership perspectives. Cultivate relationships with key media outlets and journalists to drive consistent, positive coverage .* Identify, secure and manage strategic speaking opportunities for Goodyear executives at global industry events, conferences and forums. Ensure messaging aligns with corporate priorities and enhances leadership visibility.* Support broader corporate reputation initiatives. Collaborate across functions/geographies to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with global communications strategies.* Develop and execute a global awards strategy that highlights Goodyear’s innovation, leadership and impact. Manage submissions and coordinate with internal teams to identify and pursue relevant recognition opportunities.**What We’re Looking For** * Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.* 3+ years of experience in communications leadership within a corporate or agency setting, ideally with international exposure or work in a global organization.* Proven ability to design and execute internal and external communication strategies that drive business objectives.* Strong executive presence with experience advising senior leaders and building credibility at the highest levels.**What Will Set You Apart*** Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, make strong recommendations and provide communications counsel at both the strategic/tactical levels.* Strong team orientation and experience building relationships - Influencing and working effectively with diverse stakeholders.* Demonstrated leadership in issues management to protect corporate brands and reputation.* Organized and independent, with excellent execution skills and strong attention to detail.* Expertise in media relations and content creation, including writing, editing, reporting on PR metrics, and managing relationships with media outlets.**Additional Details*** Relocation Available: No* Sponsorship Available: No* Workplace Type: Hybrid* Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM#LI-FG1Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
