The Director, Solution Architect is a strategic, hands‑on leader who shapes the target architecture and accelerates delivery for Corporate IT platforms—Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP & EPM), ServiceNow, Workday, Empyrean, and Finance Analytics. You will own end to end solution architecture across these domains, align investments to business outcomes, and rationalize the portfolio to reduce cost, risk, and complexity. This is an individual contributor role with broad influence across senior stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leaders—setting the architecture vision, standards, patterns, and roadmaps and ensuring execution quality.

Key Responsibilities Architecture Strategy & Leadership

Translate business strategy into actionable,

capability‑driven

target architectures for HR, Finance, and Corporate Functions.

Produce

portfolio roadmaps , investment cases, and modernization paths (e.g., Oracle EBS to

Oracle Fusion Cloud , on‑prem reporting to

EPM

and

Finance Analytics , HR data unification across

Workday

and

Empyrean ).

Partner with Enterprise Architecture to set

principles, guidelines, standards , and solution patterns; chair or co‑chair

Architecture Review Boards

for Corporate IT.

Solution Design & Delivery

Lead solution architecture for high‑impact initiatives; ensure designs meet

functional

and

non‑functional

requirements (security, availability, performance, DR, cost).

Provide architectural oversight across SDLC/SAFe— from inception to production —including security reviews, threat models, NFR validation, and operational readiness.

Guide product owners, designers, and engineers; remove ambiguity;

accelerate decisions

on platform choices and integration patterns.

Integration, Data, and Analytics

Define

canonical data models ,

data contracts , and

API catalogs ; enforce

API‑first

and

event streaming

(e.g., Kafka) where appropriate.

Architect

high‑volume, secure

data movement between complex systems (Workday ↔ Oracle ERP/EPM, ServiceNow ↔ HR/Finance, Empyrean ↔ HRIS/Payroll).

Partner with Finance Analytics/EDW teams to enable

trusted financial reporting

and

planning

(e.g., EPM/DFCS/AH alignment), with clear

data lineage

and

governance .

Platform Operations, Security & Compliance

Embed

zero‑trust

and

least‑privilege

access patterns; align IAM across SaaS platforms and cloud providers.

Define

observability

standards (logging, metrics, tracing),

SLOs/SLAs , and

capacity planning ; drive

cost optimization

and

FinOps

accountability.

Ensure compliance controls are

designed‑in —including

SOX

controls for financial processes and

GLBA/FFIEC/NIST

controls for data protection.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

10+ years

in Solution/Application Architecture with

5+ years

in HR/Finance/Corporate IT domains.

Deep expertise architecting on

Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP & EPM) ,

Workday ,

ServiceNow , and

SaaS integrations

(REST/GraphQL, webhooks, iPaaS).

Cloud architecture experience on

AWS, Azure, or GCP

(designing secure, scalable, cost‑efficient solutions).

Strong knowledge of

SDLC

and

SAFe / Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) ; proven ability to embed architecture standards in delivery pipelines.

Demonstrated success leading

portfolio rationalization ,

reference architectures , and

governance

without direct people management.

Preferred

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Financial Services/Banking domain experience (Core Banking exposure is a plus).

Experience with

Finance Analytics

platforms and data integration into

EPM/ERP

(e.g., Accounting Hub/DFCS), and operational reporting.

Hands‑on experience with

event‑driven architectures ,

streaming , and

API management

(rate limiting, throttling, SLAs).

Familiarity with

ITIL/COBIT ,

NIST CSF ,

SOX/GLBA/PCI

controls.

Certifications (Preferred)

TOGAF

or equivalent architecture certification.

Cloud Architect:

AWS/Azure/GCP .

Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM ,

Workday Pro ,

ServiceNow

(CSA/CAD/Architect).

The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000.00 to $175,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job‑related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
