Technical Records Specialist 1
Idaho State Police District 2 is recruiting for a Technical Records Specialist 1. This position provides a variety of records support functions; reviews and processes documents; determines and explains compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policies and takes appropriate action; maintains a manual or computerized records system; performs related work. Example of duties: Provide office support requiring in-depth knowledge of assigned program areas Maintain a consistent, strict level of confidentiality Assist with customer service inquiries on the phone, via email, or in person at front desk Process, review, and file reports Provide arrest packets to the appropriate prosecutor and/or district court clerk's offices as needed Provide records for ALS subpoenas and FBI NICS, DOC & Justice Services Process public records requests including redacting reports and dash cam, some with vulgar language or graphic scenes Data entry/maintain computerized records system NIBRS error corrections CAD RMS System entries into the Automated Reporting System CAD RMS System entries for handwritten citations Transmit completed Crash Reports in eImpact Process towed vehicles and abandoned vehicle auctions Maintain/order sufficient office supplies Maintain Administrative records Compile weekly report Handle and/or distribute incoming and outgoing mail Receipt in checks/money and prepare receipts for deposit; pay invoices Monitor/escort visitor access to district office ILETS, Security & Awareness Training TAC Other duties as assigned by the Records OSS, Captain or Lieutenant, or other requests made by Troopers Minimum qualifications: Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments Entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system Preferred qualifications: Obtaining and safeguarding sensitive information Using word processing software to create and modify documents Cash handling, balancing, and reconciling Benefits: The State of Idaho offers a robust total compensation package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance; PERSI retirement benefits; paid sick, vacation, and parental leave; and 11 paid holidays per year.
