This position is located at Morale Welfare Recreation Fund- Physical Fitness Facilities, Blue Grass, Kentucky. Responsibilities include working as a Recreation Aid (Physical Fitness) in the Blue Grass Army Depot Fitness Center. Duties involve issuing and ensuring the correct, proper, and safe use of all fitness equipment, cleaning and performing minor maintenance on equipment, working various sport and fitness programs and tournaments, and reporting any problems to the immediate supervisor or the manager on duty as soon as possible. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements include demonstrating the ability to offer excellent customer service and the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Candidates must also be able to maintain tools and equipment, keep areas neat and clean and in order, and speak and understand English clearly. Additionally, candidates must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. Experience must be clearly reflected on the resume to receive credit. This job is open to candidates who live within the Blue Grass Army Depot local commuting area, which means living within an estimated 50-mile radius from Richmond, KY. Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration. Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.
