Customer Service Representative 2 (CSR 2) – Buckeye Field Office, 302 North 4th Street, Buckeye, Arizona 85326. Salary: $16.35 / Hourly ($34,008.00 Annually). Grade: 15. Closing Date: January 23, 2026. DES is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative 2. This role is the first point of contact in the office and manages screening for Medical Assistance (MA), Nutritional Assistance (NA), and Cash Assistance (CA) applications. Job Duties
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: In‑person interaction with customers to determine appropriate workflow steps. Screen applications for NA Expedite criteria. Educate customers on rights, responsibilities, change reporting and self‑service options. Scan and upload documents into the FAA’s Document Management System. Submit translations when appropriate. Issue EBT cards. Ensure the NVRA process is followed. Date‑stamp incoming mail. Enter data for applications. Resolve client issues and respond to complaints. Refer unresolved cases to upper management. Provide conflict de‑escalation with irate clients. Prepare, monitor, and submit reports. Order and store office supplies and equipment. Troubleshoot equipment with the Helpdesk. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)
Knowledge of:
Customer service practices and techniques. Administrative, office, and clerical procedures. English language grammar and composition. Program rules, regulations, policies, and computer systems. Problem resolution techniques. Skills in:
Active listening. Negotiation and problem resolution. Effective written and oral communication. Time management and task prioritization. Use of Google Workspace. Identifying alternative solutions. Abilities:
Measure and meet productivity and quality standards. Work at least 40 hours per week with satisfactory attendance. Interact professionally with personnel and customers at all levels. Employ critical thinking using logic and reasoning. Multi‑task under competing priorities. Work independently or as part of a group. Adapt to changing environments and new technologies. Selective Preference(s)
