If you’re ready for the challenge of providing life-saving care or supporting those who do, read on to find your fit in the Phelps Health family.**General Summary*** The Assistant Director of Patient Access is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process, assisting the Director of Patient Access in overseeing registration functions, training and optimizing revenue cycle operations.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Assist the Director of Patient Access in managing the overall registration and admission process.* Collaborate with the registration team to include clinic registration staff to ensure efficient and accurate patient data collection.* Assist with development and implementation of polices and standard work procedures related to patient access and registration.* Provide training and support to health system registration staff members to ensure adherence to policies and best practices.* Assist the Director of Patient Access in monitoring key performance indicators and metrics to identify areas for improvement.* Assist with resolving issues or concerns related to patient access and registration.* Stay up-to – date with industry regulation and ensures compliance within the department.* Monitor work queue productivity, ensuring timely resolution, identify patterns, and ensure re-education is provided to avoid continuous registration errors.* Develop and execute annual competencies for the registration team, ensuring ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.* Support the Director of Patient Access in strategic planning and goal setting.**Education*** High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.**Work Experience*** Minimum three to five years of experience in the functions of the department (or similar department) with two years being management or supervisory experience preferred. Experience with both patient access operations and business office operations preferred.**Certification/License*** CHAA or CHAM preferred**Mental/Physical Requirements*** Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time with frequent interruptions. Light lifting (15 lbs.) required. Standing, sitting and walking required..**Working Conditions*** Typical office conditions with noise and distractions. Possible eye strain or other discomfort from constant use of computer screens.
