Salary Range:
$120,000 – $135,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview Lead and elevate the Trauma Program at a hospital-level in Fort Walton Beach. The Nursing Director of Trauma Program is responsible for:
Providing strategic and operational leadership for trauma services
Overseeing trauma registry management, quality improvement, education, and research initiatives
Ensuring alignment with national trauma standards and accreditation requirements
Collaborating with surgeons, Emergency Department leadership, and hospital executives to deliver exceptional trauma care
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the trauma program: staff coordination, performance monitoring, and resource management
Maintain and analyze trauma registry data to support compliance, accreditation, and research goals
Drive quality improvement through case reviews, audits, and performance trends
Coordinate trauma center verification and re-verification processes
Promote trauma education, community outreach, and staff development
Serve as a subject-matter expert and advocate for evidence-based trauma care
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years
of recent (within the last year) acute care Trauma leadership experience (e.g., Trauma Program Manager, Trauma Coordinator)
Registered Nurse (RN)
license required
Associate Degree
in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) certification within 30 days of start date
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
