Residency Program Director - Level I Trauma/ACS

We are seeking an experienced Residency Program Director to lead an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program at a Level I facility in Palm Springs, CA. The Director is responsible for program administration, ensuring full compliance with ACGME requirements, and supporting the professional growth and development of both faculty and trainees.
Compensation:
$557k+++ for 10 shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with ACGME Common and specialty-specific requirements, including preparation for accreditation reviews and ADS reporting
Oversee the residency curriculum, ensuring high-quality, competency-based clinical and didactic education
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty to support excellence in teaching and role‑modeling
Monitor trainee performance, provide evaluations, and support resident/fellow wellbeing
Manage program operations, including budget oversight, documentation, and annual program evaluation
Serve as the primary liaison between trainees, faculty, the GME office, and accrediting bodies
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board certification in the relevant specialty or subspecialty
Current, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of practice
Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical and educational experience in an accredited residency or fellowship program
