
Institutional RIA Analyst – Raymond James
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to support the marketing of fixed income securities to Registered Investment Advisors and their clients via printed publication, electronic media and personal presentation.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining operations of the unit, monitoring trade flow, supporting portfolio specialists, and analyzing department data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Track trade flow to ensure timely execution
Work with traders and team members to identify specific securities consistent with investment objectives
Support portfolio managers in delivering top service to RIA clients
Conduct periodic portfolio reviews, including credit assessments, to determine continued suitability of investment consistent with risk tolerance and portfolio objectives
Learn all facets of the operation to increase productivity and contribution abilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Support the senior members of the team in all areas of the business as needed
Knowledge of
Company's working structure, policies, mission, and strategies
Working concepts, practices and procedures of Fixed Income
Knowledge of bond market, trading practices, credit and bond trading systems
Fundamentals of fixed income portfolio management & credit analysis
Financial markets and products
United States Economic Reporting & Central Bank Policy
Skill in
Operating standard office equipment and using required software including email, graphics, presentation, spreadsheet, database and project management software including HTML and PDF document formatting. Various programming languages is a preferred.
Strong working knowledge of bond ATS platforms, preferably Bond Desk, MuniCenter, Bloomberg
Communicating technical concepts and ideas to non-technical audiences
Organizing and maintaining records, files and materials
Ability to
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
Organize, manage and track multiple projects with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents
Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from industry data
Attention to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation
Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization; including negotiating resources
Project a positive, professional image both internal and with external business contacts
Provide a high level of customer service
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of fixed income experience in a trading or credit research function; municipal market experience is highly preferred.
OR any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience approved by Human Resources
Licenses/Certifications
SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
FINRA Series 7 license, Series 52 license
A desire to pursue the CFA is encouraged
